bienvenue en France.
The weather in Bordeaux simply can't make up its mind. From the skylight in my room, I have a sense of what the weather is like, but it's only for a moment. It can be perfectly sunny one minute and then rainy within in the next five. When this happens, I just say, "bienvenue en France". The weather doesn't really matter though because it's so beautiful here.
Everywhere you look in Bordeaux, there is something new and beautiful to see - well, new to me, but definitely not new.
I have two favorite shops already - a fromagerie and a cafe. The fromagerie is very small but has much to choose from. There are even chairs out front where you can nibble on a cheese platter (as chosen by the owner) and sip a glass of wine.
The coffee shop reminds me of San Francisco, except that it's in an old stone building. It's called "personne n'est parfait", which I think is a good reminder.
Bon, c'est ma vie maintenant. It's exciting to think that I have this new life in France filled with fromage et café.
