home is where the tacos are.

As I started planning my trip home, all I could think about was what wanted to eat when I went home. Hot sauce. Kimchi. Tacos. Anything spicy really. Side note: I ate jalapeños in Bordeaux, and even those, the French managed to make non-spicy. I was also craving donuts. And lattes. Luckily, I managed to hit everything on my list. On my last day, I even managed to get my hands on a spicy fried chicken sandwich. Here are the places that I insisted on going to.

1. Diavola - the kimchi pizza is to die for, named the Dictator

2. Campo Fina - always get the arancini, in addition to everything else

3. the Flying Goat - get the Aztec mocha - it's spicy

4. the Lytton Springs Taco Truck - need I say more?

5. El Sombrero - two words: super burrito

6. Bun Mee - always get the sloppy bun

7. Barndiva - a family favorite

8. Willi's Seafood Bar - great for a cocktail and an order of the calamari - always order two orders of calamari

9. Flakey Cream Donuts - get one of everything

 10. Downtown Bakery - get the sticky bun

11. the Mill - go for thick toast and coffee in addition to Dynamo Donut donuts -  get the maple bacon apple donut

In addition to hitting up my favorite restaurants, I spent my break drinking lattes out of Santa mugs staring out across the valley.
